ACADIANA DISC GOLF ASSOCIATION
Officers
Director – Joe Todd
Assistant Director – Pat Daniels
Treasurer - Randy Quebodeaux
Sergeant at Arms – Brennan Daigle
Director of Course Maintenance - Clyde Hawk
Date formed: November, 2002
Members: 30
Dues: $20.00 per year due on January 1. Members can purchase an ADGA bag tag
for $5; non-members pay $20 for the tag.
Purpose: The purpose of The Organization is to host annual tournaments and to
organize the day to day maintenance of the Lafayette Area Disc Golf Courses. We
have also recently begun to handle our own sales of golf discs and equipment.
We maintain two 18-hole courses at Acadiana Park and built a new course in 2004 at
‘Pa’ Davis Park .
Why and how to join: The main reason to join is to give support to the development
of disc golf in our area. Only through an organized effort can we give our sport the
exposure it deserves. The news media and sponsors respond much more favorably to a
non-profit organization.
Accomplishments: The Association is now sponsoring 3 Southern Nationals
sanctioned tournaments a year. In 2004 we hosted our first Louisiana State
Championship and in 2005, we hosted the Southern Nationals Amateur Championships.
Sunday Doubles: The ADGA holds a random-draw doubles round each Sunday at
10:00 a.m. Fees are $6 per person ($1 goes to the ADGA for course maintenance).
There is also a $1 running Ace Pot for each course.
Tournament Schedule:
We hold 3 tournaments each year on the following dates:
The first Saturday in January
The first Saturday and Sunday in April
Out September tournament is subject to change based on the LA States and SNDG Championships.
